Reducing our carbon footprint

We are committed to reducing our own carbon footprint and helping our customers to find greener alternatives for their packaging.

Many of our products are made as part of closed-loop recycling process, using the waste or by-product of one process of product to make another, such as using back of store waste to create carrier bags. This means much less is wasted – less goes to landfill, and fewer resources are required.

We currently supply around 2 million bags for life (made from organic cotton, fair-trade cotton, recycled poly(ester), non-woven PP and other eco-friendly materials) to various UK clients. This helps our clients demonstrate their credentials as responsible retailers.

But that’s not all. Intelipac’s commitment to hi-tech vacuum technology means we can reduce freight size by as much as 400%. This also serves to lower the cost to our customers.

We have numerous environmental and ethical accreditations:

  • Our factory rates 100% on SEDEX;
  • We are fully BRC/IOP accredited at all food packaging factories;
  • We are a licensee of Fairtrade for importing to the UK;
  • We are accredited through the Control Union of Netherlands for the certification of organic cotton; and
  • We are ISO9000 certified.
